Career Opportunities

Highly qualified teacher candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree, preferably in the concentrated field, and must possess a passing score on Praxis 10014. Candidates must have a desire to promote healthy learning environments while utilizing creative learning techniques to promote success and excellence among students. In addition, candidates must possess the ability to communicate with people on all levels diplomatically.

Highly qualified administrative candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and/or significant relevant experience and training. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and maturity, wisdom and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. In addition, will support the development and implementation of plans designed to augment the vision of the Board of Trustees and the mission of the School.

Director of Student Support Services

Reports to: Assistant Head of School
Tour of Duty: 12 month employee
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

The Director of Student Support Services is accountable for:
• Assisting the Head of School in building a positive and safe school culture
• Assisting the Head of School in building a culture of excellence and achievement
• Coordinating and manages the efforts of all support service providers to ensure high student achievement
• Attending to parent concerns regarding all student support services
• Assisting the Head of School in evaluating student support services staff
• Advising the Head of School on federal/state laws regarding student support services (especially special education)
• Coaching and mentoring staff to ensure the use of effective educational practices
• Assisting in the financial management of student support services
• Assisting with the development and enforcement of school policies regarding student behaviors and academic needs
• Assisting the Head of School in responding to the directives and requests of the Board of Directors
• Assisting the Head of School in responding to the directives and requests of local governing bodies
• Assisting the Head of School in managing vendor contracts
• Serving as the school’s liaison with the Carrera Project

Qualifications:
• School administrative experience
• Experience educating students with disabilities
• Experience coaching/mentoring/evaluating staff
• Knowledge of IDEA and other regulations
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Proficient in office technology
• Collaborative in leadership approach
• Graduate degree in related area
