Literacy

Open Court Reading is the primary reading program used at The Arts & Technology Academy. The program consists of a curriculum rich in research and grounded in systematic, explicit instruction of phonemic awareness, word knowledge, phonics, comprehension skills and strategies, inquiry skills and strategies, and writing and language arts skills and strategies. Open Court Reading provides a rich curriculum in order to expose students to a variety of print materials.
